Arsenal have at long last discovered Arsene Wenger's successor. Various reports recommend the Gunners will select previous Valencia, Sevilla and PSG coach Unai Emery as their new manager this week.

Arsenal had looked set to name Mikel Arteta as Wenger's successor in any case, as indicated by The Telegraph, the club suffered from sudden anxiety at the eleventh hour over selecting the Spaniard, who is an exceptionally evaluated coach yet has never dealt with a senior game.

The choice did not run down well with previous Arsenal striker Ian Wright, who told the Daily Mirror the club's quick U-turn over Arteta was "humiliating." The Guardian, in the interim, reports that Emery's transfer spending will be constrained to roughly $67 million or more cash created from deals.

As indicated by the Daily Mirror, one of the Spaniard's first signings could be Porto protector Danilo Pereira, who has been a long-standing focus for the Gunners.
