A move for Robert Lewandowski to Santiago Bernabeu is very possible

Real Madrid are as yet considered the top choices to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, reports Evening Standard.

Chelsea have been connected with a move for the Poland global, who likes to play in the Champions League next season.

With the Blues set for Europa League football in 2018-19, the 29-year-old striker will probably make a beeline for the Santiago Bernabeu than Stamford Bridge next season.

However Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge demands the 29-year-old will remain with the Bundesliga champions.

He told Kicker: "They don't need to stress over Robert Lewandowski and the association with Bayern. We have a decent one.

"We realize what we have in Robert Lewandowski. I am extremely cheerful that despite everything we have such a long haul contract. [There's] no compelling reason to stress - he will likewise play next season at Bayern Munich."

Lewandowski is the Bundesliga's best scorer this season with 29 goals and has an agreement with the Bavarians until 2021.
