Messi scores late to preserve unbeaten run

Lionel Messi came off the seat to net a late equalizer, as Barcelona held Sevilla to a 2-2 draw on Saturday night. 

The LaLiga leaders were on the precarious edge of losing their unbeaten record in the league, after Franco Vazquez and Luis Muriel gave the hosts a two-goal lead. 

Vazquez broke the gridlock when he was allowed by the Barcelona defender in the 36th minutes, completing from Joaquin Correa's cut back. 

Luis Muriel's redirected exertion beat Marc-Andre ter Stegen five minutes after the interim as the striker multiplied Sevilla's lead. 

Messi was brought 13 minutes into the second half, however it was Luis Suarez to pulled one back in the 88th moment, before the Argentine hotshot leveled the game. 

The game sends Barcelona 12 points clear of Atletico Madrid at the top of the table.
