Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho, has clarified why his team shockingly fell 2-1 to Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16 second leg at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The first leg had finished 0-0 in Spain implying that United have smashed out of the opposition.

Mourinho said his group's failure to score goals cost them a place in the Champions League last 8.

Talking quickly after the match, the Portuguese gaffer stated, "I figure the first goal would be constantly vital in this match, not due to the first leg.

"We endeavor to be forceful and exceptional and I could see a few similitudes amongst this and Liverpool yet we didn't score then Sevilla continuously kept the ball and controlled the game well.

"In second half we had great opportunities, great ways to deal with their case, they score one goal and frame that minute everything turns out to be more enthusiastic and substantially more troublesome. The second goal unimaginable.

"The players were totally free for that, we had great circumstances, we had one great move with Lingard, Rashford and Valencia before end of first half which is precisely what we needed. I can't state my players had a major issue with their demeanor and aim to play.

"Awesome group like Tottenham has the same as us. Liverpool has the Champions League yet doesn't have the FA Cup.
